Biography

Sona van der Hoop received her degrees from the Richard Ivey School of Business. The early part of her career was spent in global advertising agencies, managing major accounts for Procter & Gamble, Gillette and others. In 1990, she was made a partner in a national marketing communications company. That role exposed her to a diverse client base where she gained tremendous insights in organizational behaviour, a variety of management philosophies and a keen sensitivity for current business demands and expectations.

Over the course of her career, Sona has created and delivered countless leadership development programs, authored a book and numerous papers, and has spoken internationally throughout North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

In 1994 Sona joined a premier personal growth and leadership development company and trained both public groups and corporations all over the world. She helped to build the organization to a multi-million dollar company and role to the ranks of President and CEO. This was where she was first introduced to
Mannatech where she trained most of the top Field and corporate leaders.

Since that time she worked to help develop and execute Flight team and Boot camps. Most recently she was promoted to Sr, Director North American Sales. This is a perfect position for Sona as it combines her business skills with her love of the Associates in the Field.

Sona delivers a strong message of accountability and excellence that translates into far-reaching and long-lasting results in every organization she touches. Sona combines a deep understanding of what motivates people to action with an engaging presentation style. The key to her effectiveness as a speaker is the interactive nature of her presentation.
